* Why should I choose a vacation home rental?
Our home sleeps up to 9 people so your whole party is assured of staying together under one roof and, if
young children are in your party, you'll have the added benefit of being able to enjoy your evenings with
total peace of mind when they go to bed for the night - just as you would when at home!

* Isn't a vacation home rental more expensive?
No, in fact for larger families or groups it's actually less expensive! Don't forget that larger groups /
families will have to take a minimum of two hotel rooms!

* Where is the holiday villa located?
Our villa is on a quiet and peaceful place 8km far from Skiathos main town 'Chora' in a location named
Platanias at Aghia Paraskevi Bay. The place is named by its huge plane trees all over the place offering
the dew with their shade. Their presence reveal abundant waters in the region.

* Is the villa privately owned?
Yes, the villa is privately owned. We are the owners. No management company is involved. You deal
with us directly.

* How far is the villa from the beach?
The closest beach is a 15 minute walk from Villa Cassiopee. With more than 60 named beaches on the
island you will find yourself driving to explore more than one.

* How far is the villa from the town?
Villa Cassiopee is 8 kilometers (about 20 minutes drive) from Skiathos town, which is the harbor and main
shopping area in Skiathos island. The small area of Aghia Paraskevi (restaurants and some shops) is
about 10-15 minutes walk. There are also restaurants within a 5 minute drive of the villa.

* How close is the nearest grocery store?
About 15 minutes walk. However, be aware that you need to go uphill for about 300 meters before
reaching the villa.

* Is the villa quiet?
Yes, the villa is located in a very quiet part of the island, off of the main road, no traffic at all (the small
way leading to the villa ends at the villa), so there is absolutely no traffic.

* Do I need a car?
Yes. In order to explore the island, go to the beaches or restaurants, you really must have a car. We offer
car rentals at discounted prices, or we can recommend a rental agency.

* Are there a lot of mosquitoes?
This is a Mediterranean climate, not humid at all. Therefore no special needs. Depending on your
sensitivity during the night you may find useful to apply on the exposed parts of your skin an
anti-mosquitoes cream easily found in groceries or pharmacies. In general, all you need is just to plug a
special device in your room (supplied) before you go to bed and have a nice, quiet and undisturbed
sleeping night.

* Can I get internet service?
We do offer internet service at the Villa. Upon your request you will be supplied with a special flashstick that
you can use in your laptop and through a simple installation process you will have wireless broadband connection
not only in the Villa Cassiopee but also everywhere you want in Skiathos throughtout your stay. All of this is
offered to you. We only request a small amount as a deposit for the flashstick fully reimbursable at the end
of your stay in the Villa. Alternatively, there is of course internet service in Skiathos town.
